Carefully crafted by Lomography’s colour contortionist chemical engineers, LomoChrome Purple Film is a delicate balance of the finest photon reactive silver halide crystals, this formula is composed of an exquisite fusion of special colour compounds that will yield tones that flourish and fade. Use it to craft a heady blend of earthy reds, crisp plums and velvety violet notes.
LomoChrome Purple film lets you explore the colour spectrum like you never have before. Blue becomes green, green becomes purple, yellow becomes pink. Red tones stay red, which keeps skin colours natural in a sea of trippy tones.
Aside from its remarkable colour quality, LomoChrome Purple delivers vibrant photos with superb sharpness. Control the colour changes in your photos by selecting different ISO settings. Green tones will become a shiny purple when you use an ISO 100 setting, but with an ISO 400 setting greens will instead become a darker indigo. The sensitivity of the film is ISO 400 (27°). Yet its high flexibility in terms of light sensitivity also allows you to set your camera to ISO 200 (24°) and ISO 100 (21°). This gives you more options for experimentation in different lighting conditions.
The new 2021 formula of the LomoChrome Purple film is a little pétillant on the nose. You’ll still get the psychedelic purple hues and color-shifting madness, with a sparkling surprise on some frames.

Straight from the Lomography vignobles, our LomoChrome films are lovingly handcrafted using traditional méthodes, plus a touch of savoir-faire, and consequently, each emulsion is a unique millésime with its own particular notes and équilibre. The LomoChrome Purple 2021 is no different and this Grand Cru is sure to delight the senses. With a reduced price, this particular blend is a little pétillant on the nose. You may see minuscule black dots on your frames, depending on your scanning setup, but these can be easily removed post dégustation. Nonetheless, the goût remains as (un)expected – blending exquisite earthy reds, crisp plums and velvety violet hues in a kaleidoscope of color to create a wonderland of unpredictable purple tones that are sure to leave you more than satisfied!
