DIGITAL SCAN SIZES
- All scans will be output as JPEG.
- TIFF scans can be requested on your job for $5 extra per roll.
- The resolutions listed here are a minimum. Some of our scanners may output larger files than these.
- We don't measure file sizes by dpi or ppi as this is a density unit for printing.
- The file size (megabytes or mb) will vary for each photo file due to the metadata stored. This does not indicate image resolution.

HALF-FRAME SCANNING
*Only applicable to rolls that have been shot in a half-frame camera.

HALF-FRAME
If you've shot a 35mm roll in a half-frame camera like the Ektar H35N, your photos will be scanned as single frames/individual photos by default.
You will get double the number of photos from your roll, than if you shot it in a full-frame camera. 📝 Half-frame single scans add $6 per roll.

HALF-FRAME DIPTYCH
Two frames scanned side-by-side into a single image - that's a half-frame diptych!
If you prefer this output, request "diptych scans" in the Notes section on your job form, when you submit your half-frame roll. 📝 No additional cost.

SCANS WITH BORDERS
Border scans include the natural edges of your film, as Full-Frame scans or Sprocket Scans.
They are a fantastic way to augment your digital scans. Due to the nature of film and organic camera frame lines, prints may result in slight cropping or uneven image sizing.
*Only applicable to 35mm rolls. Additional handling time required.

FULL-FRAME
Full-frame scans include the thin frame edges from your negatives. This results in a unique, natural black border on your digitised photos.
Request "Full-Frame Scans" in the Notes section on your job form, when you submit your roll. 📝 Additional $30 per roll.
And if you've already had your C-41 or E-6 rolls scanned, we can re-scan individual frames to have the full-frame border. 📝 Minimum 3 frames $15, then $5 per additional frame. Not applicable to B&W rolls.

SPROCKETS
Sprocket scans capture the full width of your film negatives, including the sprocket holes and film rebate (the edge markings showing stock, brand, and frame numbers).
This creates a raw, analogue look that celebrates the physical nature of film. Image colour may vary between frames as scanners balance lighting and account for the added borders.
Request "Sprocket Scans" in the Notes section on your job form, when you submit your roll.
📝 Additional $25 per roll.
Used a medium format (120) camera to shoot 35mm? 📝 Additional $15 per roll.

PANORAMIC SCANS

We welcome 35mm and 120 rolls shot with panoramic cameras such as an X-Pan or Widelux, which imprint a wide-angle, long-aspect ratio on film negatives. We can scan and print your images to your specific frame length. 📝 No additional cost.
Masked/cropped panoramic cameras like the RETO Pano and other common point & shoot cameras are imprinted on your film negative as usual, and require cropping once you receive your scans.
