Ilford & Paterson Film Processing Starter Kit

    , ,
This starter kit from Ilford and Paterson contains everything needed to process your first rolls of black and white film. From a developer, stop bath, fixer and wetting agent to the perfect sized developing tank and measuring cylinders for processing two rolls of 35mm film at a time (or one 120 roll). We do recommend also adding a Paterson change bag. Although this can be substituted by a darkroom or a totally dark space in a cupboard or under a doona! The technique to process your own film is simple and rewarding and made even easier thanks to Ilford Simplicity chemicals which are pre-measured for speed and ease of use. While these chemicals can easily be used in most developing tanks the measurements were based on the Paterson 2-reel Universal Film Development Tank contained in this kit making it the ideal pairing. The kit contains: 1 x Ilford 35mm Film Cassette Opener 1 x ILFORD Simplicity Film Starter Pack (containing developer, stop bath, fixer and wetting agent chemicals) 1 x Paterson Universal Film Tank, 2 x Paterson Super System 4 Reels 3 x Paterson 600ml Graduates 1 x Paterson 12" Thermometer 1 x Paterson Stirrer 2 x pairs of Paterson 2 film clips. Ilford Ilfotol is a non-ionic wetting agent used as a final rinse before drying films, much like Kodak Photo-Flo or Tetenal Mirasol. It can be used to aid rapid even drying and so greatly reduce the risk of drying marks being formed and dust sticking to wet film and prints. Ilfotol can also be used as a final rinse before drying fibre based prints, again it promotes rapid, even drying. Additionally it can be used to clean glass and plastic lenses and filters and as an antistatic treatment. This concentrate bottle will make 201 Litres of working solution.

    Ilford Ortho+ 80 4X5 – 25 Sheets

Ortho+ 80 is a new Orthochromatic black and white film from Ilford in the UK. Ideally suited for landscape photography, the blue and green sensitivity of this emulsion enables the film to be handled in deep red* safelight conditions making processing and inspection easier. Its lack of red sensitivity also means that reds and oranges in your frame are rendered darker with stronger contrast than standard panchromatic films (all other ILFORD films are panchromatic). Ilford recommend exposing at 80iso in daylight conditions or at 40iso under tungsten lighting. - 25 sheet pack - Orthochromatic black and white film - Process in normal black and white chemicals. - Fine grain & high sharpness - Made in the UK.

    Ilford Ortho+ 80 35mm

Ortho+ 80 is a new Orthochromatic black and white film from Ilford in the UK. Ideally suited for landscape photography, the blue and green sensitivity of this emulsion enables the film to be handled in deep red* safelight conditions making processing and inspection easier. Its lack of red sensitivity also means that reds and oranges in your frame are rendered darker with stronger contrast than standard panchromatic films (all other ILFORD films are panchromatic). Ilford recommend exposing at 80iso in daylight conditions or at 40iso under tungsten lighting. - 36 Exposures per roll - Orthochromatic black and white film - Process in normal black and white chemicals. - Fine grain & high sharpness - Made in the UK.
