Ilford & Paterson Film Processing Starter Kit

    , ,
This starter kit from Ilford and Paterson contains everything needed to process your first rolls of black and white film. From a developer, stop bath, fixer and wetting agent to the perfect sized developing tank and measuring cylinders for processing two rolls of 35mm film at a time (or one 120 roll). We do recommend also adding a Paterson change bag. Although this can be substituted by a darkroom or a totally dark space in a cupboard or under a doona! The technique to process your own film is simple and rewarding and made even easier thanks to Ilford Simplicity chemicals which are pre-measured for speed and ease of use. While these chemicals can easily be used in most developing tanks the measurements were based on the Paterson 2-reel Universal Film Development Tank contained in this kit making it the ideal pairing. The kit contains: 1 x Ilford 35mm Film Cassette Opener 1 x ILFORD Simplicity Film Starter Pack (containing developer, stop bath, fixer and wetting agent chemicals) 1 x Paterson Universal Film Tank, 2 x Paterson Super System 4 Reels 3 x Paterson 600ml Graduates 1 x Paterson 12" Thermometer 1 x Paterson Stirrer 2 x pairs of Paterson 2 film clips. Ilford Ilfostop Stop Bath 500ml

    • Ilford Ilfostop is a low odour citric acid stop bath. After development we recommend that films and papers are rinsed in an acid stop bath to stop development immediately and neutralise the developer to help maintain the activity of the fixer bath. Ilford Obscura Pinhole Camera Kit

The Obscura by Ilford is the perfect entry level pinhole camera and a great way to experience the magic of one of the oldest and truest forms of photography. The Obscura is precision cut and formed from expanded PVC. The camera is made of two interlocking sections - the photographic medium is loaded into the bottom section, and then held in place by sliding in the top section, which is locked into place with magnets. Designed for 4x5" film or darkroom paper, the Obscura's 87mm focal length gives a wide-angle field of view. The exposures are controlled by a magnetic locking shutter on the front section of the camera which can be positioned in either orientation making it suitable for right or left-handed use. There is a tripod-mounting socket on the base. The Obscura kit comes with, the Obscura camera, a simple exposure calculator for use without a light meter, a set of stickers, a user instruction booklet and a 3-tray light-tight sheet film box for storing exposed materials. Along with 10 sheets of 4x5” Ilford Delta 100 Professional film and 20 sheets of 4x5” Ilford Multigrade IV RC Deluxe paper.
